Dead of Night is a little bit like the Night Gallery – it is an portmanteu story, all centering around people telling ghost stories at a country mansion. It gets worse and worse and ends with a twist. This completely freaked me out when I was a kid. Excellent movie. The fabulous Ealing Studios of London put this one out.

Martin Scorsese called it his 11th scariest film of all time.
